ブリュッセルでコンゴ系移民の暴動を見て以来、こちらのブログを頻繁にチェックしている。
政府が国民の表現の自由を奪ったり反対者を暗殺したりする国が未だにある事が想像出来ない。
ブログの中でも取り上げられているルワンダ虐殺の話はあまりに想像を越えている。1994年4月6日からのわずか100日の間に80万人以上が虐殺されたとされる。これは割合で見るとナチスドイツによるホロコーストの犠牲者の3倍にあたるらしい。
その原因となるツチ族とフツ族とに国民が二分された背景にはかつて宗主国の様々な思惑が絡んでおり、特に第一次大戦後ルワンダの宗主国となったベルギーがその区別を決定的なものにした。


国を隔て、海を隔て、様々な国家間、人種間での問題がうごめいている。留学を通して、それを実感を持って受け入れられるようになってきた。


After seeing a riot of Congolese, I check this blog (sorry in Japanese).
It is hard to imagine for me that there are countries which deprive of freedom of expression and kill opponents.
Rwandan Genocide is beyond my imagination. For only 100 days after 6th, April, 1994 more than 800,000 people were killed. This is three times as many as Holocaust in a ratio.
The reason for this, the division of Rwandan to Tutsi and Hutu is a result of various thoughts of European countries. Especially Belgium, a suzerain state after WWⅠ, made it definitive.


There are many problems among different countries and racial groups. I couldn't understand it with reality, but I became able to do through life in Belgium.
