DAY 028

今日も8時半から授業です。眠い。
今まで料理道具は共用キッチンにあるものを使っていたのを、マイ包丁とマイまな板を購入。
切れ味がまるで違う、、。
今までキッチンの電気が1つ切れていたのが、もう1つ切れて残り1つに、、。早く直しに来てほしい。
廊下の電気も切れているので夜シャワーやトイレに行く時は真っ暗です。


Today's class also started from 8:30. I want to sleep longer.
I use shared cooking utensils in common kitchen, but I bought my kitchen knife and cutting board today.
Sharpness is different at all...
Until now one light bulb have been burned out,  another one was too and there is only one light burn... Please come to repair soon.
Lights of corridor on my floor are also burned out so that it is dark when I go to shower or toilet at night.

DAY 027

今日は8時半から授業。7時に起きるも外は暗い。
クロアチアから戻ってきて以来、シャツ一枚で過ごしやすい暖かい毎日。
異常気象らしいです。
それとオクトーバーフェスはあきらめることに、、。悔しい、、。


Today I took a class from 8:30 AM. I woke up 7 o'clock but it is still dark outside.
Since I've come back from Croatia, it has been warm such that I can stay with a shirt.
I heard it is unusual weather.
And I gave up to go October Fest... I miss it...

DAY 026

今日は図書室の使い方のガイダンスがありました。

小さい図書室だけど日本の建築雑誌も置いてあって驚きました。

アパートに住んでいるのはほとんどがベルギー人なので、会話はオランダ語で行なわれる。

なので一切分からない、、。

せっかくなので少しは話せる様になりたいな。

Today, we had a guidance of the way to use library.

It's a small library, but I was surprised that there are many Japanese architectural magazines.

Most of residents in the apartment are Belgian, so they talk in Dutch.

I cannot understand them at all...

This is nice opportunity so I want to learn some how.

DAY 025

今日はデザインスタジオの選択があって、建築家ではなくアーティストが教えるコースを選びました。
REAL(=Research Exploration Architecture Laboratory)というコース。

当面はブリュッセルにおける"echo"とは何かをリサーチするようです。
参考図書2冊のうち1冊が日本人建築家のものだったので驚きました。（『アトリエ・ワン　空間の響き／響きの空間』）
前半はグループワークなので少し安心。


Today, we chose which design studio we want, then I chose the studio taught by not architects but artists.
The name is REAL(=Research Exploration Architecture Laboratory).

For the moment we research "what is echo in Brussels".
I was surprised that one of two reference books is Japanese architect's book.("Atelier Bow-Wow Echo of Space/Space of Echo")
The first half is group work, I'm little relieved.

DAY 024

いよいよ学校がはじまりました。今週はガイダンスだらけ。
英語の早さに驚きつつ、その後在校生交えての始業式ではまさかのオランダ語のみ、、。
だけれどショートムービー有り、チェロ演奏有り、ダンス有りとユニークな始業式でした。
その後ウェルカムパーティーでもあるかと思いきや三々五々みんな去って行く、、。
不穏な幕開け、、。


Finally the school started. We will have only guidances in this week.
I had been surprised at the speed a teacher speak english and was shocked that opening ceremony with enrollments were done in dutch...
However, it was consisted of short-movie, play of a cello and dance, so unique opening ceremony.
I had thought there was welcome party after ceremony, but people went back by twos and threes...

DAY 023

今日はとても暖かい一日でした。シャツ一枚でも汗ばむくらい。
週末は実家に帰っていたアパートの住人たちも戻って来て、夜は賑やかでした。
五本指靴下を面白がられました。


It is warm today. I sweated only with shirt.
Residents, who returned to their family home on weekend, came back and apartment get lively.
They were interested in my five-fingers socks.

DAY 022

朝ランをするも足が重くて上がらない、、。土曜日ということもあってか走ってる人がたくさん。

最近すぐに眠くなる、、。今日も結局3時間くらい昼寝してしまった。

明後日から学校始まればこんな生活もよくなるでしょう。

ただいま夜中の2時過ぎ。なのに外では音楽がんがんのお祭り騒ぎ、、。

花火も上がっていたし何かあったのかな？

I did morning-running but felt my leg heavy and couldn't run well... There were many runners, maybe because of Saturday.

These days I recently feel asleep... Also today, I took a nap about three hours.

Our school will start from day after tomorrow.

Now it is after midnight 2 am. But people are festive mood with loud music.

Also fireworks were done, was something happened?

DAY 021

今日はIKEAへ行って、部屋に彩りが出てきました。
夜ご飯はカルボナーラに挑戦するも、目分量で作ったら失敗、、。明日リベンジ。


Today, I went to IKEA and bought something. My room get decorated.
For dinner I made carbonara, but fail it because measuring by eye.  I retry tomorrow.

DAY 020

家も落ち着いたので自炊した。

食材買うにも英語表記すらないので四苦八苦、、。

そしていざ作ろうとしたら、これ余ったからいる？とお裾分けしてもらえたのであまり作らずすんだ。

共有スペースで初めて他の住人に会ったけれど、ほんと英語難しい、、。

Get settled at my room, today I cooked my own meals.

I was troubled even about buying ingredients because no English sign.

And then, I was going to cook, I could be given a share. So many meals were not needed.

This is the first time I meet other livings in common space, but it is the same to communicating in English is difficult...

ようやく部屋に入れました。
初の一人暮らしがスタート、とってもどきどき、、。


Finally I could enter my room.
This is my first living alone, my heart is beating...

エレベーター無しの5階ですが、明るく気持ちの良い部屋です。

完全なる二日酔いです、、。
ブリュッセルに帰ってきたらやっぱり寒い。クロアチアへ帰りたいです。


今日はもちろんビール日記は無し。


I have a hangover...
I backed to Brussels. It is cold actually. I want to back to Croatia.

DAY 017

今日でワークショップも終了。

短い時間ではあったものの、大変充実した時間だった。

講評会終了後は海へ行く。

英語でのコミュニケーションはほとんど出来ないことを痛感したので、ベルギー留学が不安、、。

ドブロブニクもスプリットもとてもいい所です。ぜひ機会があったら行ってみてください。


The workshop was over today.
It was so short time but I could spend quality time.


After finishing final critic, we went swimming.


I found that I cannot  communicate in English. I'm afraid of study abroad in Brussels...


Dubrovnik and SPLIT are good place. Please go there if you can get opportunity.

今日はお昼に課題提出を終えた後、いくつかワークショップに関連した公開レクチャーを聞いて、なんと明日のプレゼンテーションのために作業、、。
締切の後にまたすぐ別の締切に追われるのは大変。


Today after submitting and hearing some of lectures about this workshop, we are working for tomorrow presentation...
It is so hard to do work immediately after finishing other task.

明日が締切なので大忙しのワークショップ。
観光地に来ているのに海にも行けず徹夜で作業、、。


Tomorrow is deadline of workshop, so we have to work hard tonight.
I cannot understand why I have to work all night without going a beach, here is a resort...

今日は街で一番高い教会の鐘に登りました。
とても奇麗な景色だけど高所恐怖症にはきつい、、。


Today I walk up to the bell of the church which is on highest in this city.
I could see so beautiful seen but it is so high that I, acrophobia, felt be fear.

DAY 013

今日は中間発表。いやはや英語で説明できないし何を言っているのかもわからない、、。

発表後、日本側がホストの打ち上げ。

最近ピザしか食べていなかったので、そうめんとお好み焼きがとってもおいしく感じる、、。

We did midterm presentation today. Oh, no! I couldn't explain and be sure what students and teacher say in english...

After presentation we Japanese student held a party.

I ate almost only pizza recently, then SOMEN and OKONOMIYAKI seem to be very delicious...
