DAY 197

スペイン三大祭りのひとつ、「バレンシアの火祭り」を見にバレンシアへ。
街中に大中小様々な大きさの人形が飾られ、それらが最終日に燃やされる。
本当にこんなにクオリティの高い人形を燃やしてしまうのか、、と思えてしまう程の作り込み。


Came to Valencia to see "Fallas de Valencia", one of the three best festival in Spain.
There are many puppets of various sizes in the city and they will be burn down on the final day.
Their quality are very high  and I can't imagine their last. 

スペインではこの祭りを境に各地で闘牛が始まるらしい。

Bullfights start after this festival in Spain.

街中では伝統衣装を着飾った老若男女が練り歩く。
皆とても楽しそうに誇りを持って歩いている。
パレードの列は夜になっても途切れることなく続いて行く、いったいどれほどの人が参加しているのだろう。


Men and women of all ages with traditional costume parade.
Their faces are full of happiness and proudness.
These parads don't end when night comes. How many people do join these, I wonder.

『ラ・ロンハ・デ・ラ・セダ』

15世紀に建てられたゴシック様式の取引所で世界遺産に指定されている。

入口すぐの部屋にある螺旋状の柱はヤシの木を表現していて、マヨルカ島とバレンシアにのみ現存している。

"La Lonja de la Seda"

A trading market of Gothic style was built in 15th century and registered as the World Heritage.

Spiral columns stand for palm trees and these exists only here and in Mallorca Island.

祭りのために宿が見つからず、運良くスペイン人の友人の実家に泊めていただく。

とても優しいお母さん。

Because of this festival, I couldn't find a hostel. But my Spanish friend let me stay at his home.

His mom is very kind.
