DAY 179

朝、「ガルニエ都市博物館」へ。
ガルニエが設計した集合住宅群の妻面に、彼にまつわる壁画が描かれている。


In the morning went to "Museum Urban Tony Garnier".
There are apartment houses designed by Garnier and wall paintings concerning him on the end panels.

予定を少し早めて、今晩の宿「ラ・トゥーレット修道院」(ル・コルビュジエ、1960)へ。
駅前からは案内の看板が続く。ずっと上り坂なので大分キツい。


Then went to "Couvent de la Tourette" (Le Corbusier, 1960) where I will stay tonight.
Signs lead me to the convent from the station.

途中の眺めは抜群。


Views on the way were very good.

丘の途中に街を見下ろす様にして建っている「ラ・トゥーレット修道院」はレベル毎に機能が明確に別れている。そして教会部分は工事中。

"Couvent de la Tourette" stands on a hill and the church part was under repair.

泊まる部屋。モデュロールに基づいて設計された部屋は小さいながら窮屈な印象は受けない。

The room designed with modulor is small but not uncomfortable.

ミーティングルームにはコルビュジエにまつわる書籍や建物の図面が納められている。

図面は自由に閲覧可能。

In a meeting room there are books and plans. You can see plans freely.

食事をしていないのだけれど何かないかと尋ねると昼食の残りを振る舞ってくれた。有り難し。


I hadn't eaten anything and asked the stuff. She served me with leftovers of the meal.

モデュロールに基づいて割られた窓から入る光が美しい。


Light thorough the window based on modulor is beautiful.

工事の人が帰った後なら入っていいよ、と言われ教会部分に入る。

I entered the church after carpenters went back.

夕食までの間、建物の周りを散歩。

夕食前の祈りにも参加を勧められ、何も分からないまま部屋の隅で座って聞いていた。

夕飯後、悪寒に襲われ早々に部屋に戻り布団を3枚被り就寝。

Until the dinner, walked around.

People advised me to join the pray and I sit still hearing their praying.

After the dinner I suddenly caught chills and sleep.
