ロンドン入り。
今ロンドンではデイヴィッド・ホックニーと草間彌生の展覧会が行なわれている。
今回は美術館巡りは予定していなかったけれど、急遽予定変更。


Came to London again.
Now in London exhibitions of David Hockney and Yayoi Kusama are held.
I hadn't planed to go a museum, but changed my plan and went to them.

まずはロイヤル・アカデミー・オブ・アーツで開かれているホックニーの展覧会「David Hockney RA : A Bigger Picture」へ。

チケットを買い求める人の長い行列、ほとんどがお爺さんお婆さん。

At first went to "David Hockney RA : A Bigger Picture" at Royal Academy of Arts.

Many people to buy ticket made a ling line. And almost all of them were old men and women.

続いてテート・モダンで開かれている「Yayoi Kusama」へ。

Next went to "Yayoi Kusama" at Tate Modern.

その後テムズ川沿いを歩きバトラーズワーフへ向かう。
元倉庫街だってこの場所はロンドンで最も栄えた場所のひとつであったが、倉庫閉鎖と共に廃墟化して行った。
そこでコンラン卿がマスタープランを引き、倉庫を商店や住宅へとコンバージョンし、再びかつての様な賑わいを取り戻している。


After that, went to Butlers Wharf.
There was a warehouse district and one of the most living place. But after closure it became like ruin.
Then Sir Terence Conran made master plan and convert warehouses to shops and residences.
