DAY 118

1日ツアーへ。ホステルまで迎えに来てくれるのがありがたい。
ツアー会社でもお茶のサービス。寒い体に染み渡る。
バスの中にはなぜかRound 1の長州小力のストラップ（しかも2つ）。


Went one day tour. It was nice that a stuff came to our hostel to pick us up.
In tour office they served a tea, it filled my cold body.
In the bus, to be curious, there were 2 straps of Koriki Tyosyu, who is Japanese comedian.

まずはギョレメ・パノラマへ。
カッパドギアは火山灰による柔らかい地層と溶岩による硬い地層とが重なりあっていて、それらが異なる浸食を受けた事でこの不思議な景色が生まれた。

Firstly went to Göreme Panorama.
Cappadocia has a layer of soft stratum by volcanic ash and hard stratum by lava and these two were eroded in different way. It made this curious landscape.

続いてDerinkuyu地下都市へ。およそ85メートルの深さがあるCappadocia最大の地下都市。
5世紀から10世紀にかけてキリスト教徒が迫害から逃れるために利用していた。日常的に生活していた訳ではないけれど、常に2ヶ月分程の食糧が備蓄されていたらしい。
通路はとても狭く、中は暗い。けれど地上との通風はいたるところで確保されているため息苦しさはない。


Next to Derinkuyu Underground City. This is approximately 85m deep and the biggest of its kind.
It was used to hide christians during enemy attacks  in the 5th century to 10th century. They didn't use here on daily basis, but food storage for about 2 months were stored here.
Corridors are so tiny and very dark inside. However ventilations are set in everywhere.

次にウフララ渓谷へ。岩肌を欠き取ったかのような断崖絶壁が続く。この渓谷にはかつて4000もの洞窟が掘られ住居や教会として利用されていたらしい。今でもその跡を至る所に見て取ることができる。


Next went to Ihlara Valley. There are very long sheer cliff. About 4000 caves were made and used as house and church before. Also today we can see the remains of them.

途中散歩中の羊の群れに出会う。

On the way we met a flock of sheep.

4kmほど渓谷を歩き、昼食を食べた後はヤプラキヒサルへ。足場の悪い斜面を登る。足を滑らせれば怪我だけではすまない様な場所なのに柵が一切無い。日本ではあり得ないけれど、ここに柵があったらせっかくの景色が台無し。日本の行き過ぎた安全指向も考えもの。

Walked about 4km along the valley and ate lunch, then went to Yaprakhisar. Walked up bad slope. If I slipped, I might die. Though such a dangerous place, there are no fence. It couldn't be done in Japan, but if there were fences, it had to brake this landscape. Japanese safety oriented should be re-thinked.

夕飯は壷ケバブを食べる。焼き物の中に入って出てくるのでそれを割って食べる。普段食べてるケバブと違ってシチューみたいな味でとっても温かい。


In dinner I ate Testi Kebabi. I had to brake the pot in which kebab is. Its taste resemble stew.
