ベルギー北西部の街ブルージュへ行って来た。ブリュッセルから電車で1時間程。

中世に繁栄を極めながらもその後衰退したため当時の街並が非常に良い状態で残されている。

「屋根の無い美術館」と言われる街並全体が世界遺産に登録されている。

I went to Brugge, city in the north-west of Belgium. It takes about 1 hour from Brussels by train.

It prospered in the medieval age and decline after that, so the state on that time is preserved very well.

Whole city is said "museum without roof" and registered as a World Heritage.

マルクト広場に面して建つ鐘楼。狭い螺旋階段を366段登りきるとそこには大きな鐘があり、また街中を一望出来る。運良く頂上にいる時に鐘がなったため、その音色を間近で聞くことが出来た。

The Belfort stands on Grotemarkt. Thorough narrow 366 spiral steps, there are big bells and we can see whole city from there. To be luckily when I was on there bells rang and I could hear the sound very close distance.

そして伊東豊雄設計のブルージュパビリオン(2002)。

ろくに手入れもされず汚れきったその姿からは元々の軽さ、透明さは見てとれない。

壁に貼られたアクリルは元からなのか？

設計趣旨のテキストを読むと古都に新しい息吹を吹き込むと書かれているが、この姿を見てしまうととても空虚に響く。

It isn't well-kept and become so dirty, that I couldn't see the lightness and clarity it had originally. 

市庁舎2階にあるゴシックの間。木造の天井と精緻な壁画が美くしい。

Gothic Hall in Stadhuis. Wooden sealing and wall painting were beautiful. 

ミケランジェロの「聖母子像」がある聖母教会。

Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk, where is "A Madonna and Child" by Michelangelo Buonarroti.

ベギン会修道院。たまたま修道女達のミサを直接聞くことが出来た。

Begijnhof. I could hear a mass directly.
